Ambulance Dispatcher

Duties and Responsibilities:  They have to help with answering emergency and non-emergency phone calls, coordinate all ambulance transports and emergencies, portray a positive, courteous, professional and helpful image at all times and are responsible for contacting emergency services such as police and fire or delegating these responsibilities to the call taker

Salary:  $37,040 to $58,020 a year

Education: Must have a high school diploma or equivalent. They often have a background in communications and receive some form of on-the-job training. They need to be able to speak clearly, know basic first aid procedures, and learn how to operate sophisticated telecommunications equipment. They must be certified through a state-recognized program.

Reflection:  I think that I could be an ambulance dispatcher because I think I could help organize where to go and I am organized and be professional in a bad situation.  I think that I would consider being a ambulance dispatcher.
