Student Success Statement
“Many think that the short term gain will be pain, but it isn’t. In addition, using steroids is cheating, and there is nothing worse in sports than a teacher. Don’t do it.”
George Mitchell

Reflection: I think that this quote is saying that it’s important to always play fairly. He is saying that in sports there is nothing like a cheater and that people should just play fairly because it makes the sport more enjoyable if the game is even. If someone is using steroids in a basketball game its not fair and it takes the other teams chances of winning.

Student Success Statement

“I won’t cheat"

Dale Murphy

Reflection: What his trying to say is that we shouldn’t cheat in anything in life, we should always choice what’s right for us .Cheating can make you a winner but not a honest winner which is the only type of winner worth being. Its saying that if you could win but have to cheat you should just lose. It means to commit yourself to be honest and to not cheat. If you have a chance to cheat in class you won't.

Reggie Bush

The NCAA found that football star Reggie Bush, the 2005 Heisman Trophy winner was ineligible to play the season he won the award. He also had multiple violations by accepting cash, gifts, and other benefits while playing for the Trojans. The outcome for this scandal was that the USC program was ordered by the NCAA to remove all references to Bush from the record. Reggie Bush is now the only person in the Heisman award history to loose the trophy. The USC team also had to vacate the final two wins of its 2004 national championship season, as well as all of its wins from 2005.  Now he is an football running back for the Detroit Lions of the NFL.
