Allergist/ Immunologist
Duties and Responsibilities: A physician specially trained to diagnose, treat and
manage allergies, asthma and immunologic disorders including primary
immunodeficiency disorders. They also find the cause of allergic irritants that
trigger immune response in the body.
Salary: $ 171,223 a year on average
Education:
Allergists/immunologists
must complete 4 years of premedical education at a college or university,
followed by at least 4 years of medical school getting a doctor of medicine or
doctor of osteopathy degree.
Reflection:
I think that I don’t want to be an allergist/ immunologist
because it seems that they deal with things that need lots of attention and eye
for details that I do not have. I don’t think I would be able to tell the difference between a
cold and asthma.
