Acupressure
Duties and
Responsibilities: Is a
technique similar in principle to Acupuncture. It is based on the concept of
life energy which flows through "meridians" in the body. In treatment
pressure is applied to acupuncture points to unblock these meridians. Pressure
may be applied by hand, by elbow, or with various devices but not with needles
like in acupuncture.
Education:
The
regulation for acupressure professionals varies from state to state. But
acupressure is recognized as a type of massage, which requires practitioners to
meet the requirements of licensed massage therapists in order to practice
professionally. So a degree in massage or some postsecondary education.
Salary: The average
wage is $81,830 a year
Reflection:
I don’t think I would want to be a acupressure because I heard its dangerous like if you hit the wrong place you can break there back so I think I would not want to do something with a chance of me hurting someone’s back and they sue me.
