                          Port Strike

Its estimates that about 44 percent of all cargo arriving in the U.S. by sea passes through the twin ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach, accounting for an estimated $1 billion a day in merchandise. But recently there has been a halt is this because of the strike by the clerical workers. ACcording to the protestors its not about money but job security. But this does not help ease the traffic at one of the country's busiest port. Both sides are aware that time is off the essence but there is no end in sight.
