Kindness

Reflection: The videos of acts of kindness were very inspiring and showed lots of kindness and how being kind is not just extravagant gestures but can also be simple things. I think that my favorite act of kindness was the boy giving up his seat for the old lady. I like it the most because it was it was a simple act of kindness that really helped that lady and was simple to do.

Reflection: I think that this is saying that kindness is the best kind of greatness. I think that it’s saying that some people may be able to things better than others but only truly great people can be kind.

Reflection: I think that this is good advice because if everyone did this the world would be a better place. If people just stopped stealing; there would be not more crime. If people stopped lying there would be less problems in the world like gossip and lies. 

Dental Assistant

Duties and Responsibilities: The duties and responsibilities of a dental assistant are providing patient care, take x rays, keep records, and schedule appointments.

Salary:  $34,500 per year                                    

Education: Dental assistants must high school diploma or equal and then pass a accredited program that is offered at colleges and then some on the training is preferred.

Reflection: I think that I could be a dental assistant because it seems like it is easy and has good pay and it is a job helping people.

Reflection: I think that this statement is true because even small decisions will affect us all the time. I think that education is a really good example of this, I think that if we don’t educate ourselves today and decide to do something more fun it will affect us our entire lives.

Dental Lab Technician

Duties and Responsibilities: A dental lab technician must full dentures, removable partial dentures or fixed bridges, crowns, veneers, and orthodontic appliances and splints to help straighten and protect teeth for individual patients using the impressions they get from the patients teeth.

Salary:  $30,000 - $70,000 a year

Education: Dental laboratory technicians must have a high school education or equal and training through a two-year program at a vocational school, technical college, university, or dental school

Reflection: I think that this career is something that I would like to be. I think I could do this because I think that I could make false teeth and other teeth implants without having to actually look and operate on peoples teeth the way dentist have to. 

Veterens Day

History of Veterans Day

Veterans Day was officially recognized when U.S. President Woodrow Wilson first proclaimed Armistice Day for November 11, 1919. It later became referred to and known as veterans day and is a national holiday in the United States. It is a celebration to honor America's veterans for their patriotism, love of country, and willingness to serve and sacrifice for the common good.

Reflection: I think that veterans day is important because it reminds us that all our freedoms and opportunities are not free and are protected by men and women in uniform. The day helps us remember that the people who fight for our freedoms risk there lives for us and deserve to be remembered and respected. The day started as a way to make a official date (it was celebrated on different days by everyone) and that it is great to have a holiday for veterans but I think that people should remember and respect veterans everyday for fighting for freedom.

Reflection: 

I think that this statement is correct because people are really influenced by what is around them so it makes sense that those who hang out with a better crowd are going to be wise and those who hang out with a bad crowd will turn out bad.
